Salt Spring Island's New Home & Garden Show last weekend was a resounding success in attracting attendance of 350 on Friday night and 950 on Saturday. Over 40 businesses including specialized trades, financial services, retail, alternative energy, building supplies and community service and volunteer organizations had the opportunity to "show and tell" islanders and their friends about their products and services, all available locally.
The Salish Sea Marine Trail is born! - BC Marine Trails Network: Kayak tours, adventure, kayaking maps. Trans Canada Trail (TCT) and BC Marine Trails Network Association have come up with the perfect recipe for connecting Vancouver Island and the rest of Canada by trail. The Chamber Board is happy to announce that a 5-Year Strategic Plan has been developed to guide the organization from 2016-2020. The plan defines our mandate and objectives, working towards benefiting members and the Salt Spring community as a whole. Our tagline has been changed to reflect the work outlined in the plan, which is now: "Bringing Business and Community Together".
