The Salt Spring Island Chamber of Commerce, established in 1948, is a not-for-profit organization representing close to 300 business owners and individuals on the island. The Salish Sea Marine Trail is born! - BC Marine Trails Network: Kayak tours, adventure, kayaking maps. Trans Canada Trail (TCT) and BC Marine Trails Network Association have come up with the perfect recipe for connecting Vancouver Island and the rest of Canada by trail. Just add saltwater and stir with a paddle. The result will be the Salish Sea Marine Trail, a blueway – a saltwater route designed for paddlecraft and small beachable boats
The Chamber Board is happy to announce that a 5-Year Strategic Plan has been developed to guide the organization from 2016-2020. The plan defines our mandate and objectives, working towards benefiting members and the Salt Spring community as a whole. Our tagline has been changed to reflect the work outlined in the plan, which is now: "Bringing Business and Community Together".
