Vital Signs is a national initiative undertaken by community foundations across Canada. It uses local knowledge to measure the vitality of a community and support action towards improving quality of life. Data gathered through the program is used to support evidence-based, locally relevant solutions and to recognize Salt Spring Island’s strengths.
Telling Our Story
The Vital Signs report provides much-needed clarity about current, potential and perceived strengths and challenges facing Salt Springers. Individuals, non-profits and governing bodies all use Vital Signs in their planning, advocacy, grant-making and community engagement work.
